Hi All; I am new to DX4WIN just last week and have 'many' questions. I have packet window running okay, I think. How do I get packet spots int the log window? When a spot is moved from the packet window to the log window, does the frequency of the spot show up somewhere in the log window?
In the log window, I do not see the frequency the rig is on, just band. Is there any way to show the actual rig frequency? My station is SO2R with rig control from the computer. Rig 2 is on com 5, but I can't get DX4WIN to control it. Baud rate is set correctly. Rig says it is communicating with the computer, but DX4WIN error message of 'radio time out' shows up when I change from rig 1 to rig 2. Rigs are Kenwood 950 SDX and TS-870S Is there any way to have the packet spots show up as a part of the log window and then have the log window sized that of the monitor? Hope I stated that question clearly. I am not talking of a spot moved into the log area, but spots shown below the logging area of the log window, for example. Or is the program such that one must have two windows on the monitor, the log window and packet window. Is there any way to dedicate a given rig to given bands? My rig 1 is normally on my beam with rig 2 on my wire antennas. It would be nice to select a spot and based on the spot frequency the program would select the proper rig. After I get through this, I will need to import my log from my old logging software.
