I've controlled my configuration just now: I have 2 rigs controlled (FT1000 and Kachina505DSP) and both works fine, but my kachina software is installed in the default directory. Last chance: control if the file name in radio databases have drive and path completed: C:\path\kc505_01.dat
good luck! ----- Original Message ----- From: "Larry Alkoff" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "dx4win" <[email protected]>; "iz5fsa" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Sunday, July 25, 2004 1:08 AM Subject: Re: [Dx4win] DX4Win and Kachina - possible? Yes both are running. I actually had DX4win and Kachina working 4-5 years ago but forgot. When I went to the Radio database I saw Kachina still in there but a different directory. I can see \path\kachina\kc505_01.dat and it is being updated but DX4win doesn't seem to be seeing it. >Remeber to give dx4win's radio >preferences the rigth name of the file used from the kachina software DX4win is set to File | Databases | Radios | Kachina and File Interface to c:\pf\ham\Kachina\kc505_01.dat. File | Preferences | Radio | KC505DSP and com port is set to 1. I don't understand why the com port is set to 1 as Kachina should do it's interfacing with kc505_01.dat. DX4Win is not using any com ports at the moment - until I get basic control. >and to >set property kachina software to be used from third party programs. I have set the Kachina control program for Special | Station Settings | Interface to Other Logbooks | ON Each time I try it the Kachina pops a message saying: KC505 Com1 Cannot control radio > >that's all. > > >----- Original Message ----- >From: "Larry Alkoff" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >To: "dx4win" <[email protected]> >Sent: Saturday, July 24, 2004 9:18 PM >Subject: [Dx4win] DX4Win and Kachina - possible? > > >Does anyone have any experience with controlling a Kachina with DX4Win? > >Can it be done? > >Larry Alkoff N2LA > > > >Larry Alkoff N2LA - Austin TX > > >_______________________________________________ >Dx4win mailing list >[email protected] >http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win > Larry Alkoff N2LA - Austin TX
