The windows don't get restored to the "on" state, but the positions should transfer. When you open a window, it should show up in the same place as the last time. Did you NOT find this to be the case? > Also, my log report and other reports are gone. > Is there something else I need to merge? Just start typing in the Packet Window. If there is no connection, it will prompt you to make one. - Jim ===== Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.com PGP Fingerprint: D8E2 3D78 339F A7F1 8C13 1193 B5D1 4FB6 79D1 70DC From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon May 17 17:28:25 2004 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (J. For instance, there are one or two new reports. If you copy your old .REP file over it, the new reports will be lost. You need to merge them by hand with an editor. Could be the same with all the files listed in number 4. The .CTY file deserves special consideration (don't you know...?). If you go with the new one, you will probably have to find and correct various country and zone errors that have accumulated. This should be done anyway. And, if you have certain calls which are an exception, and the new .CTY file doesn't know about them, then those calls may fall into the wrong country or zone. Also, if you have spent considerable time adding addresses or managers into your .CTY file in preparation for a QSL run, you will lose all of them. The thing to do is to merge (not copy) your .CTY file into the new one and correct the errors. 73, John ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jim Reisert AD1C" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, May 17, 2004 3:59 PM Subject: [Dx4win] Upgrade Checklist > I'm making an upgrade checklist to include on my web site. > > 1.
