Hi Jose,

This is a problem across all ICOM radios. When the computer reads the radio
info, it can not tell that the radio is in SPLIT mode. So with ICOM radios,
you will have to type the QSX frequency in by hand.

Subject: [Dx4win] CW Interface - Problem detected
Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Hello. I would appreciate a help on this :

I am using DX4WIN 6.03 in a desktop Pentium computer under windows 98. I
use the CW keyer interface thru LPT1 port without any problem in this
computer.

I am preparing myself for a Dxpedition next month. I have copied the whole
DX4WIN directory to a Toshiba notebook (Pentium 4 under windows XP, no
serial ports but has LPT1). So far so good. Everything works fine. However
when I attempt to use the Keyer by configuring LPT1 in Preferences|Control
. I receive a message: Cannot find LPT1 for keying, when leaving he
preferences program.

However LPT1 is there and works with other software installed in the
notebook computer.
BTW the only program running in the notebook is the DX4WIN.

Also, I have tried the following: I have not configured the CW interface
(none on the port). I have configured the Band Encoder instead. I have
assigned LPT1 for the band dencoder. No message is printed when leaving
the preferences program.

Any help is welcome. Thanks
