Flyod I'll bet it's your RTS and DTS settings.
Under Preferences: Radio - here are my settings Icom 746 Address 56 Default unchecked Baudrate 9600 Default unchecked Notes to radio: testing S meter Com Port COM4 Poll rate: 200 Max tries: 6 DTR high: checked RTS high: checked I haven't a clue what all of the above means but it works.
