Jim: Sounds like your Dad's setup is very much like mine. I have an FT1000mp and an Orion, and just upgraded to V603 DX4WIN so I could control the Orion and the mp. . Had the same problem you did. Answer is, set RTS High (check box) Set DTR low (no check). That solved the problem for me! I'm not on the reflector, I found this in the archives, so you might post this for me for others with the same problem. Now, if I could figure out how to get the bandwidth on CW and SSB to be other than 3000 Hz! Very annoying. I think that can be fixed the orion.rig file, but I don't know what the format is.
