I wonder if it follows, then, that DX4WIN simply doesn't see certain standard fields; conversely, I wonder if DX4WIN's import filters can accept more than one input into, for example, the "notes for QSO" field.
I was really hoping that the developers could provide a table that says: For ADIF imports, if ADIF FieldName is XXX, then information goes into field YYY in a DX4WIN QSO record. 73, Pete N4ZR At 05:59 AM 3/12/2005, [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: >Hello Pete! > >I am not an expert on this stuff, but it looks like you right about it. > >Few days ago while importing my logs into MixW adif.file, I found out >that DX4WIN uses the field NOTE: for both (NAME: and QTH:), while >MixW log software uses own fields NAME: QTH: NOTES: etc..... >So when one imports ADIF from DX4WIN we will need to change this NOTE: field >into NAME: field so the ADIF from MixW can read the names and addresses from >DX4WIN adif file, by the way it will read all info into NAME: field but >better than nothing at all. > >To be able to change any fields do it as stated here: (PS: Got it from >another user, and it works...) > >Use a text editor to do a global replace in the ADIF file from DX4WIN or >any other >ADIF files into the log setup you wish to import to. > >I hope it helps you. >----------------------- >Hi Carlos, > >I do not believe any of these are related to the trial version, they >all sound normal. > >For op names and QTHs, you need to look in the ADIF file from DX4WIN >to see what field names it uses for them.
