Yes, if you're cautious. When the backup counter expires, the log is written to DX4WIN.DXB in the directory above the save directory. This is NOT your log file (W7ZR.dxl), just the last backup. When you write using SAVE or ALT-S, this writes the W7ZR.dxl file. If DX4WIN crashes, when you restart, it will prompt you to save the backup log (DX4WIN.DXB) as a .DXL file. ALWAYS DO THIS, but give it a different name than your normal log, in case there are problems.
