Lee and Wes, This is not quite enough. You also need to copy your N5PO.key file from the dx4w503 directory and put it in the new directory with the same name on the new PC. Also do not forget to do a File, Preferences, File, Merge INI file (the INI file is in the save directory).

Also, the .CFG file is in the SAVE directory, and his configuration will be maintained without having to export/import the .INI file. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Sep 22 18:17:22 2005 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Larry Benko) Date: Thu Sep 22 18:25:44 2005 Subject: [Dx4win] Changing Computers In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Jim, Wow I was wrong. I just finished building a new PC today and migrated over ver 6.04 about 2 hours ago exactly as I had mentioned. I forgot about the lack of a key file in version 5. Since you are the unofficial DX4Win expert, what is the consequence of doing the merge INI? Since you are the > unofficial DX4Win expert, what is the consequence of doing the merge INI? Let's see... If the process was: - save .INI - copy directory to new computer - merge .INI then some settings may actually be lost. Like if you have a custom ICOM baud rate. See my web page about "gotchas" when merging the .INI file after an upgrade: http://www.ad1c.us/dx4win/ 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Sep 22 23:16:55 2005 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (n3drk) Date: Thu Sep 22 23:25:14 2005 Subject: [Dx4win] dxpeditions Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Was there some new window starting in Version 604 which showed the upcoming dxpeditions to remind the operator? John it was not a new feature. It was the Calendar (File -> Calendar). I asked Paul to add support for the GOLIST-style calendar, which he did. You still have to download the calendar (GOLIST subscribers only) and import every week. I think someone else did a calendar format based on the 425 DX Group bulletins, but I don't know the URL for that one. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us
