There is a bug in DX4Win group selection name editor that really makes it difficult to assign a selection name to a group that begins with a non-unique starting character. For instance if you want to assign the selection names KP2/K3CT and KP2/K3CT_2 to different group numbers, the first assignment is straightforward. When you try to assign the second group and type K the group number changes and KP2/K3CT is filled in. At the same time, the current selection changes to a different group. So when you click on Update, you are changing a different selection!
The automatic selection on first character is handy when you don't want to edit the name because all you have to do is type the first letter. After about an hour of playing around, I realized that by typing a dummy unique first character and then the rest of the selection name, you can cursor left and remove the dummy first character. I tried version 6.04 and 7.01. The bug exists in both versions. John, K3CT
