Sorry, I didn't think my message could be of general interest :) ... Here is: The cables you need depend on what do you want to do. To control the radio with DX4Win, you need the proper CAT cable for your radio. To operate on digital modes only, you need a shielded cable from the LINE OUT connector on your PC to the TX audio input on the radio (preferably not the MIC input, but some other for higher signal level), and another similar cable from the RX audio output on the radio to the LINE IN connector on the PC. You might need some adapting circuit between both equipments, but I use only the cables with good results.
