Hi Hamad, I had not heard about Shift-F8 before! >From the help text: "This command is identical to the Search command, except that it will not erase the last filter setting. It can be used to modify a previous filter, or to see the filter settings used by some of the reports after double-clicking in a summary window or a listing-report." I notice the following problems after searching for a call using F8: Shift-F8 does the following: - rstS = 599 - rstR = 599 - Zone = 0 - Notes for this call (recalled from last search) - Group = 0 I believe that ALL these fields (except Callsign of course) should have been left blank. I tried a more advanced search - I set the STATE field also. In this case, Callsign and State were recalled correctly, but RST, Notes, Zone and Group were as above. I tried a third search on only the CQ Zone. It was recalled correctly, but RST and group were set as above. Paul will probably not be able to fix this until after Dayton. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu May 18 11:35:35 2006 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Thu May 18 11:40:07 2006 Subject: [Dx4win] DX4WIN.AWD version 1.3 released In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --- Jim Reisert AD1C <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > NOTE: this is the same version in DX4WIN 7.02 build 15 > > I have released an updated DX4WIN.AWD file. Many thanks to I0MWI, > 9K2HN and W8TTS for their contributions. You can download the file from: > > http://dx4win.ad1c.us/#Award First, let me apologize for so much mail on this topic. The bottom line is that the new file is not backward-compatible with the old file. DX4WIN stores information from file directly in the log, so if the award file changes too much, you might lose custom award counters. There are almost 130 awards listed. I'd say the problems affect 10-25% of the awards (exactly how many, I can't say right now). If you are using DX4WIN to track custom awards, I suggest your do not use the new files. Use the file from version 7.01 instead - if you need this file because you don't have it, let me know and I'll send it to you. If you are *not* using DX4WIN to track custom awards, it does not matter which file you have. I should have a new file in the next day or two. If anyone wants to help me test this, please reply directly.
