Hi Folks -- Purchased Version 7.01 a week or so ago, and have been importing my old electronic logs etc. Finally finished that, and now want to import my confirmations from LOTW. No problem downloading the ADIF file from ARRL. I've got a question on importing though
There are 508 entries in the ADIF file. From reading the manual, I know I want to use the "duplicate QSOs set upload confirm flag" for duplicate QSOs. However, there are 47 additional entries in the LOTW ADIF file than in my DX4WIN log. I assumed the 47 additional QSOs would just be added to the DX4WIN log, but they are ignored. I then tried to import the ADIF file with the "duplicate QSO's are ignored" option and indeed the 47 additional QSOs were imported. I then (again) imported the entire ADIF file with the "duplicate QSO's set upload confirm flag", and all 508 QSOs are now showing electronic confirmation. So, my observation is that when using the "duplicate QSO's set upload confirm flag", and the imported ADIF file has QSOs not in the DX4WIN log, those QSOs not in the DX4WIN log will NOT be imported. Is this correct? It removes the seconds from the time comparison between the two logs 2.
