Special event 4U60UO to mark UNESCO 60th anniversary celebration (Oct 27, 2006) -- Members of the Association of Radioamateurs of Paris (ARP) will operate special event station 4U60UO to mark the conclusion of the 60-week long 60th anniversary celebration of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The station will be on the air from UNESCO Headquarters in Paris Saturday and Sunday, November 4-5. 4U60UO will operate all modes -- including CW, SSB, SSTV, PSK31, satellites and hamDRM -- and all bands from 1.8 MHz to 47 GHz (except for 6 meters). Chartered November 16, 1945, UNESCO marked its 60th anniversary by selecting 60 themes to highlight the 60 weeks between September 5, 2005, and November 4, 2006. A special QSL and certificate will be available from ARP.--Laurent Beugnet, F6GOX -- Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Nov 1 09:51:13 2006 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (ON4AOI) Date: Wed Nov 1 09:58:31 2006 Subject: [Dx4win] Vista and serial ports In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> David, USB to SERIAL is supported But didn't found any drivers for PCI serial or LPT boards Maybe it will be supported by programs that need it for There hardware but then probably only for there software. That's also one of the reasons that the latest motherboards Don't have any Serial or LPT ports on board anymore. 73 Guy ON4AOI BAND DECODER and related stuff at http://www.on4aoi.be/banddecoder.htm DX4WIN soft and related stuff at http://www.on4aoi.be/dx4win.htm DX4WIN, WRITELOG, WF1B & RITTY CW & RTTY interfaces at http://www.on4aoi.be/keyer.htm ARSWIN link and related stuff at http://www.on4aoi.be/web7.htm DXTELNET soft and related stuff at http://www.on4aoi.be/dxt.htm -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of David Gould Sent: Wednesday, November 01, 2006 11:07 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Dx4win] Vista and serial ports I saw Guy's comment below regarding Vista not supporting serial or parallel ports. As I see it there are three ways of providing serial ports 1) On the motherboard 2) From a PCI card 3) From a USB converter Will Vista prevent the use of **ALL** of these, if not which will still be available? 73, Dave, G3UEG >Subject: RE: [Dx4win] USB-Parallel adaptors > >Tony, > >buy a PCI 2 LPT expansion board >don't now any USB to LPT that works with all I/O > >BTW Vista isn't supporting LPT or Serial only USB > > > >73 Guy ON4AOI > >BAND DECODER and related stuff at > >http://www.on4aoi.be/banddecoder.htm > >DX4WIN soft and related stuff at > >http://www.on4aoi.be/dx4win.htm > >DX4WIN, WRITELOG, WF1B & RITTY CW & RTTY interfaces at > > http://www.on4aoi.be/keyer.htm > >ARSWIN link and related stuff at > >http://www.on4aoi.be/web7.htm > >DXTELNET soft and related stuff at > >http://www.on4aoi.be/dxt.htm _______________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list [email protected] http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win
