The latest router software (4.0.5) works fine, has no bearing on the problem,
which I had when running the old version (3.1.6?).

I will look into uninstalling that Microsoft "fix".

No, in 7.02 the CW announce still comes through the internal computer
speaker (at least for me.)

COM has nothing to do with COM *ports*. COM is an acronym for "Common
Object Model".

DX4WIN's problems with unresponsive COM ports hasn't anything to do
with this patch.

Mine was set at 1000 - I bumped up to 5000 and the "pausing" problem seems
