It shouldn't. My log is fine. -- Jim Reisert AD1C/?, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Dec 26 20:47:34 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Wed Dec 26 20:48:41 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] more on corrupted logging file In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> On 12/26/2007 6:41 PM, Jay Hainline wrote: > Luckily I did have a back up copy of my log with only 5 contacts missing > including the recent Bartholomy operation. If you are using 7.03 and used one of the DX4WIN# import/export formats, you'll find that all the imported QSOs are marked INVALID. You can fix them manually in your log. This is a known import bug in 7.03. -- Jim Reisert AD1C/?, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Dec 26 20:48:40 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Wed Dec 26 20:49:46 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] CHKD values change upon LOTW update In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> On 12/26/2007 6:23 PM, Mark K3MSB wrote: > I manually changed various QSOs to "CHKD" recently. > > Today I uploaded the most recent LOTW report, and I find that when I > do a DXCC Summary, some values in the CHKD column are changed -- > decreased. When you imported the LOTW data, did you pick the option for duplicate QSOs to only mark the Upload Confirmed flag? If not, then the imported QSOs replaced the ones in your log, and any DXCC status associated with those QSOs would have been lost. -- Jim Reisert AD1C/?, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Dec 26 20:54:11 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Wed Dec 26 20:55:16 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] State information In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For those that lost state data, I can only conclude that when you edited the country file yourself to add FJ, the country file became corrupted. Exactly how, I can't say. The 50 states themselves are part of the country file. By downloading and installing the country file I released a couple of days ago, you'll fix the corrupted country file problem, but it will not fix your log if you have saved it while using the corrupted country file. Hopefully you have a log backup. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/?, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Dec 26 21:40:53 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Ken Kopp) Date: Wed Dec 26 21:42:07 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] Buckmaster look-up problem solved Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Greg, Your suggestion (below) did the trick. I did this, and I now get the latest information from the monthly updates. 73, Greg AG5W In a message dated 12/25/2007 10:43:10 PM Central Standard Time, [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: Thanks, Bob ... Your results are different than mine. If I enter K4TER into DX4WIN as if I worked him the address shown ... via F3 ... is an old Jacksonville address where he USED to live. If I go to HamCall directly I get his current/correct address in Yulee. I have no idea where DX4WIN is getting the "old" info from. Again, the "old" HamCall was totally removed using "Add/Remove Programs" in the XP's Control Panel choices before I loaded the new program. I dunno ... it's a puzzle. Thanks for trying the situation . 73! Ken Kopp - K0PP [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED] or [EMAIL PROTECTED]
