Hi Don,

If you send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and ask for a copy of your records, they
can E-mail you a .PDF file.

You might want to consider registering for LoTW. They can link your permanent
DXCC records to the LoTW site. Even if you never upload a QSO (I don't
recommend this, it's not that hard, and I wrote an application note about it
from DX4WIN), you can always see your latest DXCC credit status.

John,

I hope this helps.

On the LOTW site, under the "Awards" section, Click the "Select DXCC Award
Account".
This will take you to your account page. On this page is a list of all of
the DXCC award categories. Click on any of the highlighted entries in the
first column of the table to see a breakdown of how the credits were
awarded. For example, if you click on "Mixed" you will come to the "Account
Credits" screen.

Select the "All Credits" radio button and select the award you are
interested in from the drop down box at the left. Then press "Select DXCC
Award to View".
Note: this list can be sorted by Name or Prefix. The default is by Name.

A table will appear with the name of each entity for which you were given
award credit AND the QSL that was used by ARRL for the credit. If you click
on the call sign in the QSL for any entity, you will retrieve a page with
all the details of the QSO which led to the QSL which led to the award.

Also, on the LOTW Home page, if you click on the "Your QSOs" button, you
will come to a page that lets you look at all of your QSOs. In the middle of
that page there is a selection marked "Show confimed QSOs only." Check the
box next to that line. If look right underneath that you will see a box
labelled: "DXCC Entity". Click on the radio drop down arrow and a list of
every DXCC entity will appear. Select the DXCC entity you are interested in
and all your QSLs for that entity will be listed. In the listing, you will
see the award category for which that card was counted.

In DX4WIN, within a band, what condition must be met for:

Mixed check?
Band check?
Mode check?

What I am getting at is, when I receive credit in LOTW for a country and I
enter this into DX4WIN, how do I know which DXCC boxes get changed to Chkd?
Do I just do BAND, or BAND and MIXED, or all three. If you let DX4WIN make
these changes based on the F2 key entry of a received card for submission,
for a later visit to the league, it appears to selectively choose which box
gets changed. I would like my DX4WIN accounting agree with the LOTW matrix.

Anyone know the answer? I would appreciate your help.

Thanks in advanced,

John (N1JP)

The credit adds to your MIXED DXCC total

>Band check?

The credit adds to a BAND DXCC total (40, 20, 15 etc.)

>Mode check?

The credit adds to a MODE DXCC total (CW, SSB, RTTY etc.)

Note that one QSO could cause 1, 2 or 3 of the above to be checked,
depending on how "new" it is. For example, if your only P5 QSO is on
20 meter RTTY, then all three boxes would end up checked.

I have a program which helps you find the CREDITS that don't match
(http://dx4win.ad1c.us). However, it doesn't help you find the exact
QSO. If you have copies of all your submission/endorsement paperwork
(what credits you claimed), then you can usually figure this out. In
some cases it will be ambiguous, i.e. your first two VU4 QSOs ever
are on 20 SSB and 17 CW, and you submit both cards - which one
actually counted towards your MIXED award? It doesn't matter, but I
think the league has a record of it somewhere.

FWIW ...

I'm a long-time friend of N7NG, the now-departed (:-((
"Oracle" of the LoTW program. He tells me that the
operation is headed by Dave Patton, and "customer service"
is being handled by Kathy Anderson ... 860-594-0206.

Now, to pop the lid off the proverbial can of worms ....

Has anyone managed to disguise/legitimatize e.QSL's
and use them for credit via LoTW by importing them into
their logging program and then into a LoTW submission?
I --DO NOT-- approve of this or would never consider
doing so, but others may view it differently.

I know the League has gone to considerable length to avoid
accepting e.QSL's, but ... sadly... I don't see any way of
preventing it from happening, once the QSO/QSO's are
imported into your log, regardless of which program you're
using.
