Thanks to all that responded to my label printing and printing down the number of labels that are already used but! I read the book concerning labels and I guess I just cannot absorb what is being said. All I want to do is. 1. Search for a call. 2. Print a label for that call. Can anyone give me a step by step method for doing this using 5160 labels? I also cannot get the "preview" to work. Every time I hit preview it shows me a whole page of stock QSL labels. I'm out of patience but not giving up. Believe it or not I was able to print a number of labels for my 5A7A QSO's but I couldn't repeat it. Don't know how I did it. Thanks in advance. I believe my persistence paid off. I figured out, without the help of the book, how to print specific searched labels. I can at least print labels now. Sorry for the quick jump to asking for help. He has a ic756 pro 3 and is having problems with connecting the rig to the dx4win program. It fails to make any effort at communication at all. I had a look through the archives and see this has been an issue before but we tried to use the suggestions made in past threads but not joy as yet. Anyone out there got a screen shot of the settings in the preferences for the ic756 pro3 that works. (I appreciate that com port may be different) He is trying to run the rig via a serial port which has the ct17 connected to it. OS is Windows XP. I seem to remember someone in the past having a problem with serial ports and XP but couldnt find this in the archives. Any suggestions to check the functioning of it. Any help much appreciated, as I use an MP and not familiar with the 756. I don't believe 6.0x series supports Pro III directly. In the Pro III, change the hex address code to 5Ch, which is the code for the 756 Pro. Then tell DX4WIN you are using a 756 Pro. Make sure the baud rate in the software matches the baud rate in the radio. Then he should be all set. There are no issues with hardware COM ports in WinXP. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Wed Jan 3 23:48:56 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Wed Jan 3 23:53:08 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] CQ DX Marathon Conversion version 1.0 released Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I have released version 1.0 of a Windows program to convert a DX4WIN logbook for use with the CQ DX Marathon program. http://dx4win.ad1c.us/marathon.htm Please read all the instructions, there are several steps to setup DX4WIN to generate the correct logbook listing. Some things to be aware of: 1. Older submission forms have Excel "tabs". Make sure you have selected the "Sorted by Prefix" tab. 2. There are a few errors in the submission form I tested with. Until those errors are fixed, look out for: FJ,FS and FH are not in alphabetical order Montenegro (Z7) is in the wrong place. 3. There is no date checking in the program. If you accidentally export more of your log than simply calendar year 2006, that data WILL be written to the output file. Any operator errors should appear in the open "window" of the program window. If an error doesn't make sense to you, let me know - if I need your logbook file, I will ask for it. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C, 7 Charlemont Court, North Chelmsford, MA 01863 USA +978-251-9933, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us
