Why don't you just create a simple batch file to copy those files from their current location to your thumb drive and schedule the batch file to run on a daily basis from the System Scheduler.
here is a simple batch file that will accomplish this: echo off rem ###################################### rem # Batch file to Backup DX4WIN Files rem # rem # rem # By Jeff Steinkamp N7YG rem # rem ###################################### copy .\save\*.* d:\dx4win this is assuming that you are saving your log files in the save subdirectory of dx4win. copy the contents of the batch file and paste it into a text editor and save it in the dx4win main directory as backup.bat. My thumb drive is d:, but yours may be different. Substitute your drive letter for d: Create a subdirectory on your thumbdrive called dx4win. You can manually run this anytime you wish just by double clicking the batch file in the Explorer file manager. OR You can schedule the batch file to run on a certain interval using the System Scheduler. Launch it from Control Panel and double click Add a task and follow the wizard to set it up. I'd like to do an automatic backup to my USB thumb drive or any other device when I shut down my computer. I've tried the free program, SyncBack, with no success. FreeByte which is also a free program is no better. Guess that's why they are free! Thanks for your help.
