These guys do one helluva job of support, and if you're not getting an
answer, there is some logical explanation. Like many others have stated, I've
been with DX4WIN since version long ago (2.x in my case), and it's still the
best thing out there for logging - IMHO. I periodically get the itch to look
at/try the competition, and I've yet to find anything close.

An email to Steve directly nearly always results in a prompt reply. Just
this week, as I added a new FT-2000 to my shack, I asked about a software
communications problem between DX4WIN and the 2000 (QSX not being read - or
displayed - correctly). Steve replied within 20 minutes!

They are there. They provide fantastic service. I gladly pay them for
every upgrade there is!

Steve

When people buy a new car, some buy it because it doesn't perform any more,
Some other just want the last new version even they didn't explore more then
ten % of the old one. How many just bought lady VISTA already? Talking about
lady's some prefere even an older version.........

Perhaps I am being unfair, but I get a strong feeling that DX4Win is
starting to get old and tired - so, if you will recall, did CT.

Now, before you start shouting at me, I use DX4Win, and think it is a great
program - but it does seem to me, that almost every ham radio program,
sooner or later, struggles to keep up with the interminable number of
requests (demands) placed upon it, and ends up 'sluggish'.

Again, I have no problem with this, as I very much doubt that anyone has
made a fortune from any of these programs - and that authors, much like
K1EA, I suspect, just get sick of the demands placed upon them, once the
program gravy train starts.

I stress, no complaints from here - just an observation.
