Hi John, Try the following Set the LPT port to EPP only in your PC BIOS Maybe this will help

It is a stright through cable from the 25 way D-type connector on the PC to the DIN connector on the back of the Quada. Nothing I do in DX4Win will initilaise the control link - I have tried logging QSO's, pressing F9, clicking on spots. I have checked in 'Control Panel/System/Hardware/Device Manager' to see the status of the LPT port. There is no difference in the settings after I have used Win-Test or after I have used DX4Win. Maybe this is a PC related issue? I cannot understand why it should initialise in Win-Test OK and thereafter work OK in DX4Win, but not work OK if I use DX4Win straight from bootup. Any more ideas?? This one is baffling me!
