I don't think DX4WIN works that way, sorry. -- Jim Reisert AD1C/0, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 5 11:13:42 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Fri Oct 5 11:18:32 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] H40MY via OM2SA Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> KM9D, Mike, and KF4TUG, Jan should be on the air soon as H40MY from Temotu Province. QSL information for this operation is via OM2SA, this call was previously used by a JA operator. Will be added in next country file update. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/0, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 5 13:34:49 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Fri Oct 5 13:39:34 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] 4U50SPACE In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> --- Duane A Calvin <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I wonder why spots for 4U0SPACE don't get populated into my DX Spots > window from the Packet window? The spots will be grayed-out if DX4WIN doesn't recognize the prefix/call (which in your case, it probably doesn't). Are you blocking the display of grayed-out spots from the packet window? 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/0, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 5 17:21:17 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Fri Oct 5 17:26:05 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] DX4WIN support Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hi Folks, For DX4WIN support, please use this reflector, or send E-mail to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please do NOT E-mail me directly. I have a real job and plenty of other stuff going on. I do not write any DX4WIN program code, nor am I paid. I have no idea what Paul is/maybe working on. I can't fix bugs, and I'm unfamiliar with interfacing most radios and other devices to DX4WIN besides the ones I use (ICOM 756 series, microKEYER). I'll do the best I can to answer reflector posts when I have time. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/0, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 5 21:53:52 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Fri Oct 5 21:58:50 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] FT-2000 with DMU-2000 Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Can someone please help him? Subject: Rig Driver Date: Fri, 5 Oct 2007 18:06:25 +0200 From: Rien <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I using the FT-2000 of Yaesu with the DMU-2000 with in that the rotor interface to control mine rotor G1000DXC Is it possible to control this with DX4WIN ? And Also if I get a spot example PA3EWP on 14.205 I double click on the spot and the TRX go to freq 14.205 only the Mode is always CW I change in preference but it will not work correctly with the mode I try this with Hamradio deluxe and everything works good so maybe is it a solution to make a link DX4Win with Hamradio deluxe ? DX4win is just a great logging program I make just the step after 7 years from Swisslog to DX4WIN. And it is just Great ! And this little thinks that not work as mode and rotor maybe it is just only mine problem or just not have the good parameters for this Rig ?? I have also mail ON4AOI Guy with this little thing Hope to hear as son as is possible of you Rien, PA7RA From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri Oct 5 22:17:00 2007 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Duane A Calvin) Date: Fri Oct 5 22:22:54 2007 Subject: [Dx4win] 4U50SPACE Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Yes, and you're right, it is not recognizing the prefix. I think that's the solution - I need to add it once to get the prefix set, then delete it. I also use DX4WIN. For rotor control I decided not to use the DMU 2000, but rather the Rotor control interface built into DX4WIN. This is because the control is all automatic -- once the call is entered into DX4WIN's QSO window, manually or by grabbing a spot, the short path direction is computed and available to the rotor. Pushing F11 starts the rotor in motion to the new direction. I use a G800SDX, but I believe your G1000DXC is similar. The rotor must have an interface card added to control it through a RS232 serial port - i.e., DX4WIN. Yaesu makes such a device, but it is very expensive. I used a card from a group called IDIOM Press and it works perfectly. I just looked them up on their web site ( http:// www.idiompress.com ) and they have a card that works with the G1000DXC. Another approach is to wire the rotor directly to the DMU-2000 and drive it from the rig. You need to know the pinouts of the connector located inside the control box of the rotor and then wire a cable that connects them directly to the DMU-2000. For more help on this alternative, try the FT-2000 Group on Yahoo. They have discussed it there. I am not sure about your second question. The rig interface for the FT-2000 is evidently a work-in-progress and does not always give correct results when grabbing a "split frequency" spot. Maybe that is the problem. I am sorry I don't know more about this.
