You can edit the .ADIF file in a plain text editor, but your on your own making the changes. See the AMSAT notes for the format, or http://www.adif.org -- Jim Reisert AD1C/?, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Mon Apr 7 22:45:46 2008 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Mark Lunday, WD4ELG) Date: Mon Apr 7 22:53:44 2008 Subject: [Dx4win] What is the proper LoTW setting for a satellite QSO? In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> OK, I think I got it figured out. LoTW will match the QSO (what we really care about) IF the following two entries are in the QSO record (which require a manual entry in the ADIF file AFTER it has been exported from DX4WIN): <SAT_NAME:5>XX-XX<PROP_MODE:3>SAT EXAMPLE: <SAT_NAME:5>AO-51<PROP_MODE:3>SAT LoTW does not care about the mode or band, EXCEPT if you select SAT in DX4WIN for band. That causes a hiccup in the ADIF conversion. So just pick the receive band for the QSO. I am waiting for the LoTW server to confirm my upload. If it does not go through, I will advise. Thanks for the guidance to those websites, Jim! Mark Lunday WD4ELG [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://wd4elg.net
