I went back to 6.04 and that version also has the country file editor bug. I didn't feel like going back any further.
- Paul is aware of the bug and probably has a fix for it already. - My application note documents a procedure that avoids the bug. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/?, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Jan 12 19:34:14 2008 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Sat Jan 12 19:35:41 2008 Subject: [Dx4win] Re: Buckmaster problems In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> There are two issues: - integrating the Buckmaster CD data with updates - DX4WIN crashing sometimes on F3 Can someone please document at least the first issue, describing the problem and the solution? The affect will be that all RTTY spots above 7040 that are not marked with "RTTY" in the comment field of the spot, will be treated as SSB. During world-wide SSB contests (ARRL DX and CQ WW), phone operation can extend down to 7025 or lower. Band-plan issues aside, those spots may be treated as CW. 40M is a no-win situation until we get common international bandplans by mode. 73 - Jim AD1C -- Jim Reisert AD1C/?, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, http://www.ad1c.us From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sat Jan 12 19:41:04 2008 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Jim Reisert AD1C) Date: Sat Jan 12 19:42:31 2008 Subject: [Dx4win] What does this error mean? And, before anyone asks me, let me make the statement that I actually like DX4Win. I just don't (didn't) understand it, to the level I should. I have somewhere about 2500 DXCC credits in LOTW, working toward a whole host of awards. I have NEVER used the DX4Win 'Award management' process - when I first joined LOTW, and wanted to apply to the ARRL for a few awards, which was not long after I had switched from WJ2O to DX4Win, the instruction verbiage in the DX4Win Help manual was too hard for me to cope with! No jokes about dumb VKs, please. Now, after much fiddling with DX4Win, and a somewhat improved understanding of the power of the program, it may be the time to use it for any further award submissions. In a nutshell, is there an easy way to 'update' DX4Win to reflect the 2500 credits, before marching forward. Help (advice) appreciated.
