Recently nothing is entered in the 'Remarks' or 'QSX' columns although the columns appear. Did I change a config option? Hi Karl, I don't know that there is a way right now. I have asked Paul for this several times. I think the VUCC awards have the same problem. You could create an F8 filter for all your 160m QSOs, then export those to an empty log, and do the submission there. You'd have to re-import those QSOs into your main log, to update the award flags. 73 - Jim AD1C On 3/30/2008 8:32 AM, Karl Oyster, K1KO wrote: > I've been perusing the idea of submitting an application for WPX awards, > but it became fairly clear to me quickly on that there's something I > don't understand. Assuming that this is Jim's question to you, forwarded to the list: What Howard's referring to is the "QSX" and "Remarks" columns in the DX Spotting window. They're read off DX spots. The patterns used to pull out the spot details are in the Preferences, Packet 2 screen. There's a set of "DX spotting patterns" in that screen; "DX|DE|r:|f|c|q|tZ" is the first on mine, which matches the cluster I'm connected to: DX de K1MU: 14313.0 P5/R0MEO qsx 14375 22:22 "r" matches the spotter, "f" for the freq, "c" for the call, "q" for the QSX/remarks, and "t" for the time. The help file has the five standard patterns; if you're using some unusual cluster, you may have to adjust them. -Rick -- Rick Murphy, CISSP-ISSAP, K1MU/4, Annandale VA USA From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sun Mar 30 18:36:32 2008 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (Howard Klein) Date: Sun Mar 30 18:43:43 2008 Subject: [Dx4win] info missing in remarks column In-Reply-To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> References: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Thanks Rick. That is exactly correct. I did check packet 2 but found nothing unusual. I remembered I have program backups in several locations and copied them over. This solved the problem. I compared the old and new copies and found them the same at least in the packet 2 window. The motivation is gone now to track down the gremlin since it is working FB now. Markowski Jr.) Date: Mon Mar 31 20:12:16 2008 Subject: [Dx4win] Log Problem Help Needed Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> My Computer locked up this evening and I saw an immediate change in graphic quality/size in DX4Win (5.02). Other running programs were able to shut down normally. DX4Win necessitated doing a soft reboot. I cannot open my most current log. I do have all Q's prior to 16 Mar 08. Upon trying to open the most recent, I get: "Error unknown version of log file." I tried doing a System restore, no joy. O/S is Windows M.E. AV is Norton, and all up to date and full scans daily. Thanks in advance for any help... 73, Zig - KM9M XYL has removed the hammers from near the shack...
