By trial and error I modified the K3 Radio file that came with 7.04 and split now works. It is located in the file section of the yahoo group.
However, I did notice one thing relating to the mode. When doubling clicking on a spot from a different band, the mode is not always set correctly. If you double click the spot a second time after the K3 changes bands, the mode is set correctly. Doubling clicking on a spot on the same band work fine.
