Mike,

I had the same problem. Here's how I fixed it:

-- Tried opening Help from within DX4Win and got the same error message as Jim.

-- Closed DX4Win, and used My Computer to navigate to the /DX4WIN directory,
locate the help file "Dx4Win.chm", and double-click on it. From there, the
Help file opened properly. Closed the Help file and My Computer.

-- Relaunched Dx4Win, clicked the Help tab, and it is now working properly.

Go figure....

  I have problems too. Opening "contents" I get an error message, usually a
different error number each time. Opening "search" nothing ever happens..
Only opening "about" works properly. If I restart the program I can get help a
couple times, then not. Running Windows XP.

Is anyone having problems using the on-line help?

I get a couple of different message boxes from Help -> Contents, the current
one says:

  "Error = 10035
   A non-blocking socket operation could not be completed immediately"

I never had these problems with 7.04. If I restart the program, Help will work
for a bit, then stop working again.

I'm running WinXP SP3 with all subsequent updates.
