Terry, Read the below messages between Paul and myself in 2007 regarding the very same issue you raised...
In addition to what Stan N3HS has mentioned, I wrote a very simple .bat file which boots DX4WIN, ARuser (VE7CC), Ham Clock and HamCap and put this in my start-up folder. When my PC starts, all the above programs boot and VE7CC automatically connects to the cluster. What is still missing is the connection from DX4WIN to ARuser, which I asked for in thee below email to Paul. If you or anyone would like a copy of my .bat file, just let me know...of course you'll have to slightly modify it for your file locations... Maybe Paul will give us an option in the next release...hope the above helps! 73.... Lou N2TU "Hi Paul!... Yes, I already moved it to the top.... A lot of us are using VE7CC software as a "front end" for DX4WIN...it allows a lot of easy automatic filtering....DX4WIN really flies when you eliminate all the crap on the clusters.... I wrote a simple "bat" file which boots DX4WIN and VE7CC programs...along with HamCap and HamCLock....simply click a DX4WIN Icon and my screens are filled with DX4WIN and the other programs....everything needed for logging, propagation forecasting, filtering, etc.... The only thing missing is the automatic connection to the previously used internet connection....it sure would be nice to click DX4WIN and have the program boot and connect....as I said, it would be a neat option.... 73...take care!.... Is it possible to configure DX4WIN to automatically connect to a cluster (VE7CC)? 2. Is there some way to have DX4WIN start when the computer boots and NOT wait until I log in (like setting it up as a service)? I'm using XP. 73 de Terry KK6T ______________________________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
