It sounds like you just plain lost your connection to the node.
Happens all the time.

I recommend you run the VE7CC Cluster User interface.  See this URL:

  http://www.ve7cc.net/

This will keep your connection active, and will reconnect if it's lost.

Or you can use the "keep alive" version of the DX4WIN.TCP file - see
http://dx4win.ad1c.us/
If you upgraded, you probably don't have the "keep alive" version anymore.
