You seem to miss the point completely Guy... perhaps you are confused by the word "bug" in the subject which started the discussion...
We are not discussing a bug at this point, but whether it is desirable for a grey spot to overwrite a colored spot. The issue doesn't arise when the grey spots are filtered out.
