The Mailman reflector system does not provide that capability. Mailman manages an e-mail system dedicated to one primary topic (in this case, DX4WIN), while the other Internet forums you describe are designed to support multiple topics in more of an on-line environment. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses.
While there might be thread-oriented e-mail clients out there, I am not personally familiar with them. Mailman just doesn't go there. Sorry.
