I just received my key file for version 8. I placed it in the dx4w801 directory. I upgraded from version 7.07. I started dx4win and it now shows my name in place of saying demo mode. I opened my log file. When I make a change to the logfile and try to close dx4win and save the changes I get a message saying that there is something wrong with the key file and then the program eats my database. I have it backed up so nothing is lost. It's not opening the database in the old directory because I renamed the old directory. I tried running as administrator. The computer has Vista 32bit loaded. Do I need my version 7 key file placed in a version 8 directory too?
