re 1. Sounds good to me. There are a few ergonomic and "automation" issues that need to be addressed eventually. I think they can wait until the workload for Paul returns to normal.
re 2. During normal day to day logging you never need to enable the LotW or Eqsl fields. I really don't see an issue here. There are a lot of programs out there with many more features than DX4Win.... some free. But you can't beat D4W for fast, painless entry of QSO data... and reliable tracking of awards. I used a much more expensive and elaborate program for a few years... but came back to D4W. With the other program the computer was becoming the focus of my operating instead of just a tool. D4W's focus is definitely logging and award chasing... period. It doesn't even try to "do everything".
