True to my word, I committed this week to v8.02; coupled with a little bit more free time to look at it.
- Paul did Very quick job to turn around the license keys; many thanks Paul - Followed the instructions to the letter on Jim AD1C's page; and can report no problems to migrate upwards - many thanks Jim for your detailed notes ! In my case, the only thing I had to tidy up were the name fields - there are a lot of folk named QSLVIA !!! I simply did an F8 on those; and edited them away. I copied over my CTY file; and all my country status is preserved. Another nice feature (in my books ) the Packet window - when you select your preferred access cluster, it always appears on top of the list after the first access !! I used to edit my file to make my preferred on top, but that is useful for those folks who don't! Am digging the Bandmap; the way things should be !!! I need to explore some of the features I have never used now, to go a step further (QRZ.com look up for instance!); have kept all relevant emails.
