I never saw it written that the CFG files were compatible?! I never saw advice to move the old CFG file into the new file area.
You shouldn't need top copy over your preferences; the advice on Jim's page (WWW.ad1c.com) says to open up your old installation, and go into preferences (File/Preferences); and in that window select "Write Ini file" from it's drop down menu. Then, you open up your new version, and go into preferences, and select "Merge Ini files". Works fine ! 73 Dave G3NKC -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]]on Behalf Of Mark A. The first time I reinstalled, I put ALL of the files into the \save subdirectory that were in the earlier installation. The problem returned. The next time I reinstalled, did NOT put the DX4WIN.CFG file from the previous installation into the new installation. I manually selected all preferences and everything worked properly. I then I placed all of the other files from the prior \save subdirectory into the new installation; no problems arose. No more problems. 73, Mark ______________________________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html ______________________________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
