A friend of mine bought this interface even i told him not to do it. Anyway i had the chance to try it. This is a Chinese product. The interface has a bad quality plastic case, a cd, and the cables you will need. The installation is not very simple as my friend couldn;t do it. Finally he installed the software which is the driver of a usb to serial converter and nothing more. . Cd has also the ham radio deluxe which is a free logging program. So i suppose that works with HRD (sri i have not tried this). If you have not noticed sb-2000 needs a soundcard to work. So it makes one com port and tries to make ptt, cw, fsk and cat control using the same port . This has as a result when it does fsk to loose cat control. Ofcourse sb2000 can not do real fsk (usb to serial converter). If you want to make rtty you must use ext fsk with mmtty. So it works with mmtty on fsk (i repeat no cat control when does fsk). If the software doesn't support software generated fsk the only solution to operate rtty is to do afsk. After all dx4win doesn't cooperate well with this product. You can do cw (no winkey of course but pc generated cw) and ptt. You can not have cat control the same time in dx4win. You can operate psk and afsk. It costs abt 120 euros in Greece while someone can buy microham II with 150, which is much better (at least it has a program, works perfect with the dx4win and you can setup it for any program you want and you can save your settings, something very important for me). Also you can make your own which will be very similar to sb2000 or better (including usb to serial and 2 ports if you need) with a cost of 20 euros. Finally I don't suggest it. 73 Kostas SV1DPI
