Colleagues, I think I am late to the party here and need directions.
I am just switching my station transceiver from an FT1KMP to an Elecraft K3. I have the computer talking to the K3 FB using Writelog. I also have DX4WIN ver. 8.02 but have not yet installed it---I am still using ver. 7.03, which does /not/ offer any Elecraft radios in the drop-down list ((FIle/Preferences/Radio)--only the rice boxes and TenTec. So my question is: can I access the K3 from ver. 7.03 or must I first install ver. 8? I would rather do this one step at a time, i.e. have ver. 7.03 talk to the K3, then install 9.02 when I am comfortable with the K3.
