Good afternoon,

Today I've run into something I haven't seen before with D4W: earlier in the
day I noticed that the band and mode noted in the appropriate blocks on the QSO
window did not reflect that information as shown on my radio -- no matter what
I did, it came up as Mode=SSB and Band=6M. I turned everything (D4W Ver
7.07.02, microKeyer router program, and radio) off and did a hot reboot of the
computer. No change.

I then turned everything off, including the computer, and let it sit for a
couple of minutes, then fired the computer back up, started the router program
for the microKeyer, turned on the radio, and then loaded D4W. It appeared that
the problem had been solved.

However, a couple of hours later I started to spot TI8II on 10 meter CW and
found that the ALT-A shortcut to announce the spot came up with 20.35 as the
frequency although the readout on the radio was 28.02035 AND the mode/band info
in the QSO window was wrong again. I checked the router monitor screen (to see
what info was going into the router from the radio) and found that the full,
correct frequency was being sent by the radio and logged by the router monitor.
It seems fairly clear that this problem must be in D4W but I've never run into
this problem before beginning, I think, with Version 4.0 in 1999.

Any info will be appreciated. The loss of the "announce spot" short-cut isn't
really a big deal, but it appears that there is more going on (or perhaps
failing to go on) than just that one feature.

73 and thanks in advance,
