Help! I use an older Sony Vaio desktop as my "radio" computer, and run DX4WIN (8.02, which I upgraded from 7.05 a month ago). I saved my contacts as recently as yesterday morning. Last last night I uninstalled some programs I no longer use on that computer (like Microsoft Office, etc.). None of them were related to DX4WIN as far as I know. However, after rebooting the computer, when I try to open DX4WIN, I get an error message which says "dx4win.exe - application error -- The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click OK to terminate this application." The older version of DX4WIN (7.05) opens with no problem, but it means I've lost all the log data since I upgraded, among other things. I have tried several times to do a "system restore", but after the process has run, each time I get a message saying the process could not be completed successfully.
I am not a computer wizard, as you can probably tell.
