I think I have over radiated my brain from 54 years of Hamming. I am trying to get computer control for band changing, and CW keying going. I have built an interface box to do this using one USB to Serial cable on a Windows Vista 64 bit. I used my old keying interface I used to use on CT. I took an old serial cable to go from the box to the CAT interface.
I have DX4WIN Ver 8.02 and also N1MM loaded on the computer. Facts: The interface, using COM4, will activate the CAT port on the FT-920 but the CW is a continuous Tone. The Interface will Key the CW in N1MM fine, but no CAT control. What is going on? Any Rocket builders or Techno dudes that can give me some insight so I can do CW and CAT control on both programs/N1MM and DX4WIN? I'm fried. Im using DX4WIN for Logging and Award control and general keying, and N1MM for contesting. Thanks for any insights.
