I don't that will work either. I use the RC1-Y from http://www.mds-ham.com/ With this unit you don't use the Yaesu control box at all so I sold old my G-2800DXA control box. It emulates the commands that Yaesu uses. I use it with Writelog, DX4WIN and MixW through an USB/Serial convertor.
