I remember this has been covered on this reflector before but I don't remember the fix.
I have just upgraded DX4WIN from version 7.07 to version 8.03. Version 7.07 worked perfectly but I am having a DX4WIN internal keyer problem with version 8.03. Whenever I either use the keyboard or internal memory to send CW, my radio keys as if the DX4WIN keyer was in tune. I cannot stop the continuous key down unless I exit DX4WIN or from the File menu, click on SAVE CHANGES and EXIT. In other words, I cannot send CW at all using DX4WIN 8.03 because even though the messages scroll on the DX4WIN keyer marquee, the program acts like there is a constant key closure. I am using a Lenovo desktop with a quad core processor, 4 GB of memory and a real serial port. The radio is a Elecraft K3. Keying is accomplished through the serial port using the DTR line. The serial connection between the computer and radio uses a real serial cable with a 4,800 baud connection speed. I have both the old and new versions on my computer and version 7.07 works fine. As best as I recall, some people on the reflector had this problem and others didn't. I have tried several things but haven't found a solution. Any help from the reflector would be really appreciated.
