Thanks you guys for your input and help. Got it working... Old logs coming up FB in v.8!
The IDE to USB device purchased at Staples appears to be the culprit. All the log files were arriving corrupted as they were copied off the old hard drive. So, this morning when hooking the old hard drive up to a different machine which had an IDE bus, I copied my old log files off, then transfered them to the new laptop... and the logs all come up no problem. Looks like I found the latest one... with 10,805 qsos in it. SO, I'm doing much better now... Last but not least is getting a USB to 9-pin serial cable so I can have rig control...
