Run the DX4WIN program as administrator, one time (right-click on the DX4WIN program icon, "Run as Administrator". It should install the driver. Then run the program as the normal user, and that error should not be there.
By the way, Version 8 has new drivers that work on the 64-bit version of Windows 7.
