Hi All: I have an issue with my computer locking up when running DX4win. My OS is W98SE. The DX4WIN version is 7.02.
I need DOS for TR which means upgrading is out of the question.. The computer locks up which requires me to shutdown and reboot. There is no rhyme or reason when the lockup will occur. I run WL and do not experience this "freeze". I have rig control set up. However, it does not seem to matter if I have a rig turned on or not. Nor does matter if I have DX4WIN set up for " Add real time" operation. Likewise MMTTY running or not does not seem to cause the freeze. Doing CTL-ALT-DeL shows me I have 6 programs running. This is the only software program I am aware of that causes my computer to lockup. Any ideas? I am not against upgrading to the newer 8.02 if I can get some increased level of confidence the problem will go away.
