Hi all. Can anyone help me with finding info on getting a FT950 working with my DX4WIN 5.03 version.
I notice from checking the DX4WIN achives, that there was some discussion back in May 2008, but nothing of recent times. I did find a rigfile for the FT2000 on AD1C site and so far this has not worked for me. I only want to read (input) to my log the mode and band info. I don't want (not yet, as least) full control. I have copy of the CAT Operation reference book for the FT950, but but is not very helpful. I have tried a "Straight serial cable", but so far no response from the FT950. For that matter, what indication, if any, will the FT950 show on it's display, if CAT control is activated? The matter of using a "Straight Serial cable" is also confusing, as it does not make sense as regards to how the comms handshaking protocol should work, with regards to RTS/ CTS, RX/ TX data pins and DTR/ DSR at the PC end. Any help would be of assistance.
