I am using the latest version of DX4WIN and have purchased the software license, but cannot communicate with my Yaesu FT-950 and SteppIR SDA 100 Controller. I didn't worry about it with the demo version thinking it was crippled as the demo and fixed when you make your purchase but that is not the case.
I have the FT-950 radio selected and have mirrored the same selections that work on N1MM, HRD, AC Log 3.0 etc. I have examined the help files in the new user setup PDF, I have looked through the Help > Radio setup files and there are not many choices. I have the SteppIR provided Y logging program interface cable that joins the serial port of the radio/SteppIR SDA100 Controller/Computer and as I mentioned, other vendors software communicates with no problems but not with this software. I have tried different Yaesu radios in the same catagory, tried changing RTS high/DTS high with no luck. I looked at the reflector for similar problems as mine, but only found reference to older Yaesu radios so I guess I will see if this problem will be addressed in future DX4WIN update software fix on a later release. FWIW, I'm running XP Pro on a dedicated computer with no other applications running to tie up the port. If there is something I've missed, maybe somebody who has faced this same problem can point me in the right direction. 73 de Bill, N6BM ______________________________________________________________ Dx4win mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/dx4win Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[email protected] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
