Ralph, Since it is not the expert problem I think your dx4win.cfg Got corrupted, first make a full backup of the complete dx4win directory Then Delete in the save directory dx4win.cfg
Close dx4win and restart, You have to do all settings again Now, but probably all your problems will be fixed.
