David! That did it, I click on map window, then hit W key, and the map reappeared, like magic!! Here I sat for 2 days pondering. I do know I saw it disappear when I accidently hit either mouse or a key on keyboard. I really like the map, I never used it the first couple years. Anyway I didn't see any reference to Map Window in help. First, click on the map so that it is selected, and press "W" which should set up for a world view. If still nothing, got through all the settings to make sure everything is reasonable. Under Projection, I have it set to Mercator, under Draw I have World and Great Circle checked, and I have Show Spot Country, Day and Night, and Update Day and Night. If that still doesn't help, try resizing the window. Also, you can move what's in the map window by clicking and dragging in the window.
