Yes I contacted the ARRL and Norm, W3IZ responded. He said that this 
additional info <Prop_mode> is not necessary in the QSL report and that 
it should be up to the logging program to check.  He suggested that I 
check here on the DX4Win list. It doesn't sound like they are inclined 
to add the additional tag.

It appears to me that the data from DX4Win goes out to LOTW as they 
want, but they don't send it back the same way.

We could edit the report QSL adif file that comes back from LOTW, if we 
knew which contacts were satellite. But there is not enough information 
in that file to determine a satellite contact from a normal one. The QSL 
file lists the band as the transmitting band and DX4Win logs the band as 
SAT. Thus the conflict/mismatch.

Maybe some additional coding is needed for DX4Win to handle the 
satellite LOTW QSL?
